Ventilation

The air we breathe is important for our health and well-being. Having a good ventilation system that contributes to fresh air indoors is therefore important for a healthy indoor climate. The purpose of ventilation in apartments is to remove pollutants in the air such as: dust particles, exhaust fumes, and moisture to supply fresh and clean air instead.

When it’s cold outside, it can be tempting to close the valves, but do not. The valve should be at least a few milimeters open, even in winter. If you close the valves, fresh air will be prevented from entering the apartment. The air that flows in is important for you to have a good indoor climate and also helps the air to spread the heat from the elements into the room.
