New routine regarding mail delivery

In the spring of 2023, new routines for mail delivery will be introduced.
For our part, this means that everyone will have mailboxes placed on common surfaces in the area, so-called box collections, see map of location here below.
The association provides new lockable mailboxes for everyone.

Why new routines

The reason for the new routine is that PostNord, which provides the postal service, is improving its way of working. They need to adapt and streamline their operations and provide a safe and secure route for the postman and for those who live in the area.
Therefor new requirements are placed on mail delivery.

Project start

The project is expected to begin in May 2023, weather and wind permitting.
The group leading the project will install mailboxes in the specified location and arrange keys for all mailboxes. Map of location is here below.

What happens to the old mailbox

Your current mailbox can remain as delivery in the form of newspapers (eg Norran), advertising and parcel delivery will take place to that mailbox as usual.

Compensation

This type of change is rarely something that is appreciated, therefore as a form of compensation PostNord will place a Parcel box in our area where you can pick up your parcel 24/7 at a location nearby.
When ordering online, you can choose parcel box as delivery option.

If you have obstacles

There are negotiations to offer a so-called postal service within densely built-up areas. Which means that there may be an opportunity for people who are over 80 years old and for people with permanent disabilities to apply to have mail delivered to a mailbox next to the house.
